The WSO Future Stroke Leaders (Cohort 3) are conducting an international survey on secondary stroke transport and transfer processes.
This brief, pragmatic tool is designed to capture current practices, main barriers, and potential solutions related to patient transfers for mechanical thrombectomy and advanced stroke care.
We are inviting stroke clinicians and related professionals, including neurologists, neurointerventionalists, emergency physicians, intensivists, and stroke coordinators, to contribute their valuable experience.
What we are investigating:
• Center demographics and thrombectomy volumes.
• Current transport models and timing.
• Barriers to efficiency and informal solutions used in practice.
• Adoption of tracking technologies.
Key Details:
• Time commitment: Approximately 10–15 minutes.
• Format: One-time participation per center.
• Deadline: March 20, 2026.
